Sensor integration
Connect your own temperature sensors to Haccly
Any sensor or gateway that can send an HTTPS request can send its readings to Haccly. You choose the hardware, we help you connect it, and the readings land in the same records as the entries your staff make.
How it works
Create an API key
The owner creates a key on the Sensors screen, for the whole company or for one venue. The key is shown once and can be revoked at any time.
Add your sensors
Give each sensor the ID it has in your system and a name, then pin it to a control point such as Fridge 2. Moving a sensor does not rewrite its history.
Send readings
Your system sends readings to POST /api/v1/sensor-readings: up to 500 in one request, the value in °C with the measurement time and time zone.
Haccly fills the checks
The reading closest to the due time fills the scheduled temperature check. Staff can still make the entry by hand.

What Haccly does with the readings
- An out-of-range event after 30 minutes of readings outside the limit. You can set 0 to 120 minutes for each sensor.
- A person chooses the corrective action for the event, and it goes into the records with their name.
- A no-data alert after 60 minutes without a reading, set for each sensor. It closes by itself when readings come back.
- Notifications in the app, in the daily email summary and on the dashboard.
- Readings sent up to 7 days late are accepted, and the report shows the delay.
- The inspection report marks entries from sensors and adds daily minimum and maximum readings and the events.
What you need
- The Pro plan, or the 30-day free trial, which has every module.
- Sensors, a gateway or their cloud that can send an HTTPS request with JSON, directly or through a short script.
- Sensors that work, are calibrated and placed well. You are responsible for them and for their readings.
